The "It's a Journey not a Destination" Edition
Heading back to the office should be more involved than just a hasty email from HR on Friday afternoon saying “see you on Monday!” But what should it look like? There’s no right answer, but the whole process is fascinating.
Speaking of process, the creation of Juneteenth as a national holiday is cause for celebration, but is just a step towards real, uncomfortable reckoning with race in our country. Commemorate this occasion, but be vigilant of losing sight of what is being remembered.
Continuing with the theme of process, I for one can’t wait until my kids play without me. While I love being involved in my 3-year-old’s burgeoning imagination and my 1-year-old’s exploration of his brave new world, I also look forward to being able to type a paragraph without interruption (this one sure was).
Dirty vanity plates is like typing “5318008” on your grade school calculator, but for adults who presumably have enough money to buy a car and insurance.
And finally, if you haven’t watched “Girls5Eva” on Peacock yet, you definitely should. I watched episode 3 this weekend, which has this catchy little diddy I’ll leave you with.
May the Strand always be your Disneyland,
